Do you have
friends or acquaintances that give you straightforward answers? Me too. Would
you like to have food that did the same? Nothing fancy, simply what you read on
the menu is what will be on your plate. Well, I found just the place. The Swiss Pastry Shop is such a place.
Serving up breakfast and lunch Tuesday thru Saturday right off of Vickery Blvd
west from Montgomery St. I went with my wife, oldest daughter, and our neighbor
bright and early on this Saturday morning. I wanted to catch the place as it
opened and enjoy some fresh treats. What immediately caught my attention is that
it’s a place regulars go. The friendly staff knew guest after guest and greeted
them by name as they strolled in. It is not a place that will make your eyes
explore, the décor is simple and plain. Except for when you walk in and you’re
greet by displays of eye catching pastries. To me, this is better than any
reprint foux Picasso or over done western art explosion on the wall.
Overall it is worth your time to eat, taste, explore, and try the different pastries going on at The Swiss Pastry Shop. Make sure to check hours and plan accordingly. They are closed on Sunday and Monday, but worth the wait for an early morning Tuesday run. Enjoy
