Jam It !!

I am relatively sure we all have a variety of condiments in our refrigerator and tucked back on our pantry shelves, many we haven’t opened in months, or perhaps years. Like that bottle of ketchup you purchased when you first moved into where you’re currently living (going on three years now). Don’t you simply wish that the little extras you bought to add flavor to your food would be so good you’d use it as fast as the light goes out in the refrigerator once the door is closed? Well, don’t you?

I thought so. Then I would strongly recommend you snatch up a jar or two of Seed & Salvage’s strawberry jam. It’s made just as my grandma made it, pure and simple. However, Sarah Junek has added a bit of lemon and basil, yup basil. It is delectable, you get the sweetness from the strawberries, and the basil gives you a bit of a savory herbal tone that hits your palate with joy. Sarah has created some other lovely items; like her hot pickles and lemon confit, each ready to excite your taste buds. Plus, if you return the jar you just licked clean she’ll give you a buck off your next purchase. It is a lovely circle of food life.

You can reach Sarah Junek at 817-781-5239, email: sarahjunek@me.com, web page: seedandsalvage.com, or look for her out at the Southside Urban Market in Fort Worth. Enjoy
